Audiovox’s budget-price D1500B portable DVD player is an ideal machine for keeping you and the kids entertained on long car journeys or flights. It won’t dazzle with its advanced features or extensive disc compatibility, but as a basic, no-frills model, the D1500B proves an excellent value. The player is certainly compact, measuring less than 7 inches square and 2 inches thick, making it extremely portable. The screen is comparatively small at 5 inches diagonal, but it delivers a clear, bright picture.
In addition to standard DVD movies, the D1500B is compatible with picture and audio CD, and digital music lovers will appreciate the player’s handling of CD-R/RW loaded with MP3 files. The included rechargeable battery lasts for up to 2 hours, depending on the levels of brightness and volume selected.
